Rochford Pianos, Suffolk - About us.
Rochford
Pianos was established in 1984 by Dominic Rochford and is to be found
in an ideally situated country business park in the village of
Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds, just a two minutes drive from the A14.
Dominic Rochford, a Member of the Institute of Musical Instrument Technology, attended college in London and gained City and
Guilds
in Musical Instrument Technology. He endeavours to keep at the
forefront of piano restoration methods, and has attended seminars and
courses by some of the world's leading restorers, including seminars at
Steinway & Sons in London where the emphasis is on 'concert
preparation'. Recent and ongoing visits to top piano manufacturers in
Germany help to consolidate some of his specialised skills.
Dominic has a passion for restoring pianos, especially those by
quality
makers, and is recognised for his attention to detail and insists on
this in the restoration workshop. The workshop is fully equipped with
the best specialist equipment.
Many of our customers tell us that our prices are surprisingly
reasonable, considering the high standard of our work and the quality
of our pianos. We achieve this by focussing on the pianos themselves,
avoiding unnecessarily high overheads.
Pianos restored by Rochford Pianos can be found not just in East Anglia
but in far reaching parts of the UK as well as Europe, America and
other parts of the world.
