​Rochford Pianos are established piano restorers specialising in the restoration of Steinway, Bechstein, Bosendorfer, Blüthner and other fine pianos, but also welcoming a broad range of other makes. We offer a full range of piano restoration services, from repairs and servicing to full rebuilding. We are happy to advise on the best option for your piano.

Our workshop is fully equipped to undertake the full range of specialist tasks including re-stringing, re building piano actions/mechanisms, re-felting and traditional French polishing as well as more complex work such as soundboard restoration, wrest plank replacement, cast iron frame repair and ivory keyboard restoration.

We specialise in touch regulation (the feel and weight of the keys), voicing (improving or changing tone), training with and becoming members of the Precision Touch Design Academy Europe. This enables us to ensure your new piano is playing to its full potential and can also be tailored to suit your preference and playing style.
